Hey, dear followers.

I've been away for quite a while now and I feel like I need to apologize to you for being such a terrible blogger - I am, there's no doubt about it. But, if it makes you feel better, it has been a nightmare for me - well, not the fact that I wasn't blogging, but not being able to take pictures. Seriously, I didn't think it would get to me as much as it does. I felt like there was a part of me missing, it made me feel miserable, when I thought about it. When I finally had the time to take pictures again (a couple of weeks ago) I was actually doubting I would get any decent pictures from the shoot. It had been something like 3 months since I had taken pictures...

This is Gina, she's a dancer, and she was a co-worker of mine in this last play I did, that kept me busy all this time. We got together at my place (well, the flat where I was living until now), and we shot there. These were the results:

This is Marta Dâmaso. She's a sweet girl I met last month when we were both working at the medieval fair, doing a play. Both her and her twin (yes, she has a twin) were volunteers there. For some reason I specifically wanted to take pictures of her and not her sister, so I asked her. :)

You know I don't usually feature people, unless they are friends of mine or just incredibly brilliant, so when it comes to young Natalie Kucken, I'm definitely featuring her for the second reason.
I'm completely head over heels with her latest work, it has been such an inspiration to me - even though I usually just look at her pictures and sigh and feel like my work is crap in comparison ahaha still, an inspiration, nonetheless. She's got me on the tips of my toes, anxious to see what she will do next. With such an amount of talent she is definitely worth following - her Flickr and her Blog.

The other day I really felt like taking pictures, but none of my usual models were available, so I ended up taking self-portraits. I actually think it was a step forward on my self-portrait quest. :) Those little branches were filled with thorns that seemed to be in love with my skin, so in consequence I got scratches of all shapes and sizes. It doesn't seem to be possible for me to go on a self-portrait shoot without getting some sort of injury. ahah I bet it's a curse. Anyways I may edit some more later but, for now, these are the ones I have.

I'm really behind schedule on my updates and I feel terrible about it. I'm an awful blogger, I know. ahaha
But it was my birthday not that long ago and I didn't post about it - which, in a way, is a good thing since otherwise I wouldn't have as much to tell you as I do now. :) I won't be getting all the sweet Happy Birthday's and best wishes, which is sad, but... or maybe I can... if any kind soul would like to leave a few nice words for me, I'd be thrilled to read them. You didn't have the chance to do it before, so now is the time. Go ahead and pretend it's my birthday! :) eheheh

Anyways, it was my birthday on the 1st of July and I'm a 24 year old young woman, now. I didn't do anything to celebrate it besides sleeping over at Cláudia's (my best friend), eat a lot of junk food and candy and watch 2 chick flicks. Even my cellphone was off. I really just wanted to hang with someone I love and just... be.
On the 21st of July, though, I got this sort of unplanned late birthday party. I thought I was going out for a drink until me and Cláudia went to pick up Vanessa (another friend) and she was holding this huge cake she had baked herself. I had told her the previous day that I didn't have a cake on my birthday and that I didn't get to blow my candles and make a wish, and that I felt a bit sad about it... so she made it happen - it's wonderful to have good friends. It really was the best birthday party ever.

It says: "Happy Birthday Teresa. P.S. 20th day of the 24th aniversary."
It was a lemon cake with chocolate frosting - and it was delicious. Oh, and since Vanessa didn't really know my age, she brought two blank candles and I wrote the numbers on them with eye-liner. ehehe

We went to this huge and gorgeous-looking house she owns in the countryside. It was all really nice and fun, and I got to know her better and like her - which is always a bonus.

I hadn't taken pictures of Rita in a long time - a year, to be precise. And I really wanted to do a shoot with her again, since she still is one of my favorite models. She's one of the prettiest girls I know, but it goes a little beyond that, I think. There's just something about her. Also, she's such a beautiful person... we became good friends and I love her to bits.

I've been meaning to use the graveyard for a photoshoot, but I wanted to do it with Margarita and she was a bit busy, and besides that, I actually thought that they would give me a hard time to shoot there. Well, Margarita was free, and the graveyard man gave me permission to shoot, so I did. :)
It was really hot today, so me and Margarita were literally toasting under the heavy sun - wich is worse for us since we both have sensitive milky white completion. But we handled it - we're troopers! ahaha

Oh, by the way, I gave an interview for Ben Trovato. It seems to be a big deal, since I've had people sending me emails congratulating me for the feature - and to think I kept postponing it. ahahaIt's a small interview (just 3 questions).

Long time no ... well, nothing really.

I'm really sorry for this (kinda) long absence, but I haven't really had time to take pictures, so I just stopped posting here - being a photography blog and all. :) I have been busy with the play I'm doing and my dear friends, who usually model for me, seem to be busy as well so... no pictures. Anyway, now that I have little more time in hands I hope to get everything running again. And maybe my friends won't be as busy these next days/weeks, hopefully.

On monday I took some pictures of Graça, a new friend of mine, who is also a new model, I guess. :) ahaha It seems to go hand in hand. We were supposed to meet to go have some ice cream by the beach (no, it wasn't sunny) and I just asked her to take one picture that I had already visualized, I just needed her to model, I told her I wouldn't even show her face (cause she's a bit shy). So we went to the place I wanted to shoot in, I took off my dress so that she could use it and.. well, we took more than one picture. :)

I don't know if I'll be editing more but, for now, I'll give you a sneak peek.

Patrick Watson

Yesterday I attended Patrick Watson's concert in Porto. Last year he came to Portugal to play at some Festival, but I was unable to go, so this time I really didn't wanna miss it. Plus, I was quite anxious since he is one of my favorite artists at the moment.

While I was sitting at the theater waiting for the concert to start I was so excited. You know the way we feel when we are about to have a ride on a rollercoaster, that very first minute when it starts going up slowly? That was exacly how I felt, like I knew something big was gonna happen - and it did.

It was absolutely incredible! I loved every minute of it and, like a rollercoaster, I smiled, I screamed, I cried, I clapped, I laughed, I sang. It was such a special evening, really. He is so very talented... the way he plays the piano, the way he sings (and his voice), his very presence, the way music just shines through him. Seriously, I'm usually a critic, and I just can't praise this man enough. For those of you who don't know him, I seriously recommend it.

At the end of the show my friend Maria told me that he would probably come outside to give some autographs and such, so we waited. I'm not usually fussed by all of the autograph and picture with the artist thing, I don't really see a point in it, but with Patrick I really wanted to be able to thank him for the amazing show and for his music in general. Maria was really nervous and excited, which was really cute ahaha.
After a while, we were able to talk to him, he was really nice and easy going talking to us, Maria got her CD signed and we took a picture with him.

It was all so amazing... I can't really put it into words.

This week, me and my cousin Sandra took Rita (her little sister) to the amusement park, it was just so fun! I'm a sucker for amusement parks and it's just so different to go with a kid - it's better. Rita wanted to go on every ride possible, so at some point she wanted to go on a more hardcore one (it wasn't really hardcore for a grown-up, but for a kid, yes). So, I took her with me, and when we were sitting, she seemed a bit anxious so I tried to calm her down saying "Don't worry. We only feel butterflies in our stomachs, that's all." and she replied "I don't feel butterflies, I feel hearts." :)

And then we had some ice cream and used it as lipstick, of course.

I'm back

I'm back after these two long weeks away from home. The play went really well and we may even go on tour with it, but there's nothing scheduled for now. On monday I start rehearsing for this other play I'm gonna be doing until mid June, and then... who knows? Hopefully, something will be happening after this one. I'm also planning on visiting London in June - anyone from London? :)

I just did a shoot with Cláudia, yesterday. I can't really know if it went well or not because I was using this other lens I had but never used, so I can't really know how it's going to turn out - this is getting me extra anxious. So, yeah, no promises about good outcomes but, as always, fingers crossed.

Hello, dear followers.

I've been really busy with the play and it's just so time consuming I barely have time for anything else. When I started this blog I really didn't think anyone would read it or follow it. Right now I have 200 followers and I cannot begin to tell you how surprised I am - seriously, it's mind blowing for me. It also makes me feel the need to step it up, update more and all, but on the other hand, I don't wanna be posting just for the sake of updating, so... just bear with me. :) Either way, thank you so much for sticking around and supporting me. It trully means a lot (I know how cliché it sounds, but there's really no other way to put it).

On other news, I'm extremely excited about... going to Patrick Watson's concert next month!!! Ahhhh! Seriously! He was here last summer on some festival and I really wanted to go but was unable to make it. Although, the type of concert is completely different and I'd much rather listen to mr Patrick a bit more closely inside a theater than at some hectic festival concert with drunk people puking on my shoes. ahaha
It's going to be on the 23th of April and... did I mention I'm extremely excited? :) ehehe For those of you who don't know, these songs playing here on my blog are his.

I got the day off today, so I managed to get some more pics of Neide done.

By the way... can you recommend me some good (and pretty) movies? :)

This is a much needed update!

I'm really sorry, but I have been so busy with rehearsals, I get home everyday by 1:30 am I barely got any energy left to do whatever it is. I'm just so tired. But today I'm making the effort because tomorrow rehearsals start a little bit later in the afternoon. :) Still.. I'm sorry.

So, I got to do a shoot, a couple of weeks ago, with Neide who's a close friend of mine who actually volunteered to take some nude pics, because she knew I really wanted to try it out - talk about awesome friends, uh? :) We went to this little village in the middle of the mountains, it was really pretty and you could see a bunch of wind towers on top of the mountains - I love wind towers (I think I took some pics with my Canon, I'll check on that and maybe upload them later). We had a really good time and she was a real trooper, cause it was freezing cold. There was this dog who was too big and too energetic for someone who is afraid of dogs (me!) and so, everytime he came running my heart would just stop... but Neide was always able to distract him, keeping him away from me - thank god! :)

Anyways, I just got the pics from the lab, and because I've been busy I don't have the usual total sneak peek for you, but I have two making of pictures and, besides the two other pictures I already posted on flickr, I'm posting a new one here. :)

Here's the story...

I live in the projects, always have. It's not really hardcore, so as a child it was quite awesome to have loads of children my age to play with. Usually, though, I always hung out with Luis, Sara and José (amongst others, but usually it was us four). We were always in and out eachother's houses - eating, sleeping over. And in the summer we would always gather at the stairs to talk. I still remember that huge tree next to my building that created these beautiful shadows of leaves and branches on the wall next to the stairs, and we would talk and eat cherries, and throw the cherry pits at eachother... gosh, those were good times. Then, you know, life happens. Some guys cut the tree, Luis moved, José moved, Sara is still my neighbor, though, but we all just grew apart. Everytime we bump into eachother, though, it's like time didn't take anything away, we're still friends.

With that said, on sunday I got a phone call from Luis letting me know that José's mother had passed away and that the funeral was going to be at 5pm on monday. He was the one calling me because José didn't have my number anymore, so he asked Luis to let me know. At first I told Luis that I couldn't go, cause I had rehearsals all day on monday, but as soon as I hung up the phone, I just couldn't bare the idea of not being there for José - even though I do hate funerals. So I just asked the director for the afternoon... and went.
I believe it was the first funeral I've ever wanted to go to and it's also the first one that I can say it was worth attending. When we saw José he was really keeping to himself, mostly comforting his sister, you know, typical man of the house. But when he saw us and we hugged him, he just let go and cried and thanked us and apologized at the same time... I can't really put into words how special it was.
Yesterday, when I talked to him, I really got the feeling that we are going to be seeing more of eachother from now on. His mom's death was very sudden, and I believe that those kind of things always open our eyes to how much we take people for granted, life even. So, I don't know... it's just good to feel that I have a friend back, specially when it's not just any friend, José is like family. Today it's his birthday and we are going to be with him. :)

Margarita - 2nd part

Hello, dear followers. :)

This has been kind of a crazy week so far - I'm ill, worst case of flu I've ever had, so everytime someone asks me if I feel better it's kinda hard to answer, since every two days I seem to have different symptoms, all the while still being ill! ahaha It's also worse because I have rehearsals and it's not like I can just stop and cure it properly... sucks! And I need to sing, which I absolutely can not do right now... also sucks. Plus, on monday I went to a funeral - which I never do - but I'm gonna do an individual post for that story, so that anybody that doesn't want to read about it can just pass it by.
But not everything is bad news! The guys on "Ache" magazine sent me an email saying that they wanted to feature Margarita's pictures as an editorial on their next issue, which got me really excited, as you can imagine, but only until I got to the conclusion that I would need to ask her agency for permission. For some reason I was really negative about it, I really thought they wouldn't allow it. Well, guess what? They did! :)
Now, I have my fingers crossed, hoping everything turns out wonderful. :) I may even buy an issue myself! ahahah

I'm sorry I haven't been updating this blog but I just started rehearsals for a play I'm doing, and when I get home I no longer have it in me to update it properly. And I've also been feeling a little down lately, so... I never feel like doing much, let alone write/talk, when I'm feeling blue. However, today, I made myself do it... so here I am. :)

I have this new series with a new model named Margarita - she is completely stunning and became my absolute favorite model. We just clicked I guess. I barely had to direct her (I still did, but much less than I have to with other girls). She knew what I wanted and it was the same thing that she wanted and likes, so... we we're both working for the same. She says we are both weird. :)

Some weeks ago I went to the beach with my friend Ana, it was pouring really heavily and the wind was insanely strong, but, yeah, we're troopers and went anyways. I just got the film developed last week, which is why I'm only posting them now. The bad news are not many of them came out good, many of them were out of focus, which is only natural since I was too worried about getting hit by a ferocious wave. ahaha And on top of that the pictures don't portray the storm we were in, at all! It seems like a normal cloudy day. It was not! ahaha Both of us got the flu some days later. We did had tons of fun, though, it has to be said, so... yeah, it was worth it. :)

Adriano Sodré

Today I spent the afternoon with my dear friend Adriano - he's a photographer and we're really close friends (I love him to bits). Every once in a while we hang out and he takes pictures of me. I usually decline invitations from photographers who would like to photograph me, though. I just don't feel comfortable. Besides I've had some bad experiences in the past. You know when you're just hideous in a picture and the photographer goes like "This is an awesome picture, I'm gonna use it." ? ................
So, yeah, Adriano is the only photographer that I feel most comfortable with as a model, firstly because I really like his work and I think we have similar aesthetics, and secondly and most importantly because it's more of a cooperation, really, I actually have a say on the photoshoot. Plus, he would never use a picture that I don't like - which is nice. :)

Many of you don't know, but I never photograph models. I've had some bad experiences in the past so, right now I just shoot friends - who are usually actresses. And I still think that, for some reason, it's easier to work with them than with actual models. Still, I have a friend who is a model and she also as a model friend that I was really interested in photographing, so, despite my past experience I went for it and contacted their agency to schedule some test shoots.
I've photographed Francisca already, and I don't know if it's because she's a model, but the pictures came out with a little editorial feel to them... I don't know. The photo session with her friend is scheduled for February, only. Hope it's sunny or it will be impossible. *fingers crossed*

Today it was sunny and I just couldn't believe it! Seriously, I was so excited! ahahaha
I didn't have any model-to-go, so I just grabed my camera and my tripod and went to the woods by myself. Needless to say my self-portrait quest continues. ahaha It's really a pain for me, cause at some point I'm always hidding behind my hair or my hands or... whatever! It's like I have to force myself not to hide. ahaha So, today I'm really excited because I got many selfies that I liked where I'm actually showing my face. :)

Hey everyone.

It hasn't been sunny lately which kinda kills it for me. I really want to go out and photograph but it is always raining or really grey. I do have some shootings planned for next week, though, I hope I get to do them, and I hope that the weather improves. :) (fingers crossed!)
Yesterday it was sunny, but I couldn't photograph because I was working. Since I've been really itching to take pictures, when I got home, there was barely any light left, but I rushed and took some low light pics. I'll have to redo it later, because even though the pictures were really nice, they had lots of noise, because of the bad lighting.

New Year

I was supposed to go spend my New Year's eve with one of my best friends, but at the last minute another good friend of mine asked me if I wanted to go work with her at this bar... and I really do need the money, so I went.
I ended up having loads of fun, and I can trully say that it was one of the best New Year's I've spent, really.
Plus, I gotta say, being a barmaid is very good for your ego. ahahahah

Hey, everyone.

I've been a little away during this holiday season, it has been a little hectic, so... I didn't have much time to upload the blog properly, but I did not forget to take a picture of the presents I got this christmas, for you guys. :)

Anyways, this was a different christmas for me. I always spend my christmas eve with my family at my grandma's house, but this year (for personal reasons) I didn't want to go there so, instead of spending my christmas eve alone, one of my best friends invited me to go and spend it at her place, with her family - really nice of her. It was quite fun, I'd say. Lot's of good food and specially good desserts! Yummy! :) (yes, I have a sweet tooth).

However, when I wanted to go home, after dinner... there were no trains. The next train was scheduled for 8 o'clock in the morning, which didn't feel very fortunate. But in the end, my dad managed to go pick me up - really nice of him, as well - so, I was able to keep my ritual of opening my christmas presents in the morning with my brothers. :)

Hey everyone!

I have been posting my digital portraits that I'm not so in love with, because I haven't been shooting film... and I missed it so much! So, I just grabbed my brother and went out in the woods.
I mostly wanted to try out my most recently aquired camera, the Zenit-E. These pictures, though, were taken with my Zenit-11. I haven't developed the Zenit-E film yet, since I haven't finished it. So... maybe there will be more pictures of these series coming later. Maybe not. We'll see.
I plan on shooting with Cláudia and Rita soon... but they're kinda busy at the moment, so... I have to wait... which sucks, but... yeah... It really sucks, not having models when you really feel like taking pictures.

On other news, I've been pretty excited about the possibility of going to some place with snow. Last year I was really frustrated, cause I kept seeing it on tv, but I came nowhere close to it and it doesn't snow where I live. So,this year, I just asked my dad to take me somewhere nice and white. :) And since he said he would... I'm really excited about taking some white pictures. That will be a first. Cláudia is also willing to go with me, so.. yeah! White pictures! :)

If anyone wants to give me presents this Christmas, just... give me film! I promise to use it! ahaha

Hello, everyone. :)

Many of you don't know, even because it's not really an important subject ahaha, but I did bangs. I had never done it - well not since I was 4 or something - so I was really aprehensive about it. But I took a leap of faith and I went and did it. I didn't like it at first and I'm still not quite sure about them, but I'm starting to kinda like them. And today I went out for a cup of coffee after work with my dear friend Adriano (I love him to bits) and he had his camera with him, so he took some pictures of me.

He made me like my bangs a little bit more. :)

It really motivates me. I know that sometimes you may think that your opinion/comment doesn't make a difference, but it does (to me at least). It's a really good feeling to know that you are heard - I think anybody can relate to this.

Here's the thing... my dad hunts. And I hate it. Absolutely. I think the only good part of this activity of his is the fact that I get to sleep with my mom whenever he does (big bed! yay! eheheh), other than that, it's just repulsive to me. He watches these hunting videos as well... the last one he was watching, the guys were hunting deers... I cannot begin to tell you how I felt about it. I'm a huge deer/fawn lover, so... Yeah.

Anyways, last week he came home after some good ol' hunting, and he brought a bunch of dead birds. At first I couldn't really even look at them... but then I thought that maybe I could do something of it. You know, the turning something bad into something good kind of thing. So, that's what I did. I took the birds and took pictures of them. I was kinda creeped out during the whole process, but I tried to focus.

Not many questions, but I'm glad about it, I wouldn't have the time to reply anyway. :) I started working yesterday so... not as much time to be online.

Questions and answers:

What about your experience with the new lens? Tell us, what do you think about it's results?

I like it a lot. It's a huge difference from my previous one. At first it was a bit hard to adapt since it has no zoom but as far as results go I think you can see them by yourself on the pictures I've been posting. :)

Como consegues essas maravilhosas fotos? É algum tipo de edição? Sê sincera, please. Usas fotoshop?

Uso photoshop, sim. Mas eu acho que aquilo a que te referes, assim como a neblina de que tanto gostas, tem a ver maioritariamente com o facto de serem fotos tiradas com uma máquina de rolo. Com as fotos de rolo o uso de photoshop é praticamente nulo e essa "neblina" já lá está. Por outro lado, quando são digitais, aí sim, uso o photoshop de maneira a tentar adquirir as cores características do rolo. :)P.S. Fui sincera. :)

There is no way ONE song could describe anyone's life. It can describe a moment, a phase, maybe... not someone's life in general - it probably wouldn't be a good sign if it did! ahaha

2nd part

This second part is featuring the pictures I took on my way to the antiques fair. I really wanted to try my new 50mm lenses, since I didn't really have the opportunity to do so thus far. Mostly, I focused on close-ups and such - I wanted to get tons of bokeh (who doesn't? ehehe). I hope you like it. :)

I remember getting out of the house and it was so cold I was trembling a little but I was actually thrilled to be out in the cold. I love cold weather. Everything looked even prettier to me, the light was really beautiful in the morning. :)

By the way, on the 3rd part I will be posting the self portraits I took along the way. So, I was thinking... to make it all the more interesting, maybe you could ask some questions about me, whatever curiosities you may have (nothing too personal, please :P) and I would answer them on this next 3rd post. What do you think? :)

I'm gonna do this backwards! ahaha I'm starting with the pictures of the antiques fair. It was my destination when I started the whole "getting out of the house so I won't fall asleep" project, but that's what I'm showing you first.

Here's the thing... I've become nocturnal. I've been sleeping during the day and I'm awake during the night. So... attempting to turn this cycle around... I haven't slept today. And I was so afraid to just surrender to the monster of sleep that I just had to keep myself occupied! So, I took a bath to stay fresh, at about 8am, and by 9am I was leaving the house to go downtown to an antiques fair. I grabed my camera to take pictures along the way, so what usually would be a 45min walk, turned into a 2h30 one. ahahah But I did take some cute pictures, I think. I'll upload them tomorrow. :)

For now, I have webcam pictures of me and Yuna when I was just about to leave the house. She was so not into it! ahahah Grumpy little fellow. :)

I've been trying to do some self-portraits lately. I haven't done them in a long time, somehow I always end up hiding behind my hair or something ahahah. So, a couple of days ago, I tried it... but I don't feel like it went all that well, plus I still hid... only 2 (kinda) successful face portraits. ahahah I feel like punching myself.

Hello, there.

Winter is arriving quickly and effectively, it's getting colder by the minute and I have to admit I've been enjoying it very much. :) Today, two very dear friends of mine picked me up and we went to this cute coffee shop. It was really nice, we talked a lot. Then we went to the mall for some christmas presents spirit and I bought two little lovely notebooks for myself - I'll have to take their picture to show you. The notebooks are really slim, which is a good thing since I never really finish them. I have a bunch of half written/drawn notebooks laying around the house. ahaha
Anyway, we were walking on the street, it was really cold, I had my big coat on, scarf, all of that and at some point I felt my nose getting really cold... ahhh I loved it. I'm sorry, summer lovers, but winter is the best. Too bad it doesn't really snow here. I've been praying for it though, to the global warming god! ahahah It's probably the only good thing that could come out of global warming anyways, might as well happen now! :)

Yesterday, I took the film rolls I shot in Lisbon to the lab. Results coming next week. :)

Hello, everyone.

I just came back from my first ballet class and let me tell you... it was hard! My legs were so weak in the end, I could barely walk right. ahaha The teacher wasn't very nice, she didn't even come to talk with me at the end of the class, she just left. On the other hand my dance colleagues were nice, so... we have a balanced situation, I guess. :P Anyways... from now on, mondays and wednesdays are ballet nights.

What about you? Anyone practices some kind of sport? :)

By the way... I took some film pictures of a friend of mine during my stay in Lisbon. I'll be taking the film rolls to the lab this week and I'm really curious to see the results. I'd never photographed her, so... We'll see.

Who doesn't love getting mail? And no, I don't mean e-mails, I mean actual mail in mail boxes!

I love getting letters and I also love getting gifts from foreign friends on my mailbox... not that I would turn down foreign presents in hand. ahahah :)

So... some weeks ago I got a present from my distant neighboor Rainer. He sent me some Haribo gummy bears all the way from Peru.

Today wasn't such a good day...

Firstly, because I got a phone call from the theater company I had done an interview with two days ago, saying I got turned down. I was bummed, cause I was really looking forward to it. Plus, it is always a bit frustrating... thinking that you missed something, and you don't even know what it was.
Oh well... hope something else will come my way.

Secondly, I went to Flickr today to check on my last picture's feedback and it had something like 3 comments, which is also frustrating because I really like the picture and it's just sad to me that it doesn't really get much recognition. People just didn't share my opinion, I guess. It's funny how sometimes there are pictures you don't like as much and you post anyway's and it gets this massive feedback, all the while there are those ones you really like and get nearly none. *sigh*

Hurray!

I already have Cláudia's pictures!

As expected many of them came out beautifully, so I'm really excited to share them with you guys and know what you think. But, just for suspense's sake, I'll be posting one picture a day. Trust me, this is probably harder for me than for you ahahah I feel like posting everything NOW. :)

A dear friend of mine invited me to spend the week with her in Lisbon and I actually thought that was a pretty good idea, so tomorrow I'll catc the train and I'll be on my way to Lisbon, to meet her. I really do need the "vacation". Need to see new people, new places.

Good news are, I'll be taking my camera, so... lots and lots of photographs when I come back. Plus, when I come back, I will also pick up Cláudia's pictures from the lab. :) Lots and lots of pictures, I tell you! ahaha I have also talked to Rita, and we are probably shooting next week. See if the weather cooperates this time. Fingers crossed. :)

Speaking of which, I am also waiting on a job reply - I did the interview last week... fingers crossed for that as well. :)

good news and bad news

Hello there! :)

So... I have good news and bad news.

Good news are: the photoshoot with Cláudia went wonderlful. I delivered the film rolls today, but it will take about a week to get the pictures. I really hope the pictures come out as expected, so that I can share the majority of them with you guys. :)
Cláudia and I woke up at 7am - I did a schedule so that we would work quickly and effectively, and we did. The photoshoot ended just in time for Cláudia to go to work. I'm really excited to see how these will come out. We did something like 7 different sets and outfits. :) ahhh I'm excited.

Almost everytime we do a shooting we take what we call a friend's picture, here are two:

Bad news are: It's going to be rainning tomorrow, so... no pictures with Rita. :(
We have already talked and agreed that if it gets sunny in the weekend, we'll take them, if not... next week. It's only half bad news, really, because we will take the pictures, just not tomorrow. We'll see.

Hello, everyone.

I'm really excited for this week since I know I'll be photographing!

Cláudia will be sleeping over tomorrow and if all goes accordingly we'll be photographing on wednesday morning, since she has to get back to work at lunch. See if we can make the most of the little time we have. She's already used to all of the fuss and doesn't stalk much, so... it will be alright, I think. :)

I'm also photographing Rita this week. I've been having these ideas since I found this beautiful spot near where I live, so... I called her and she is free this week. She is probably coming on friday. I'm not sure yet. It depends on the weather - I need my light! :)

I'm really excited. Plus, I'll be shooting film, so.. double thrill! :)

In other news, I've been featured in another website. I was actually quite pleased, because many of my favorite photographers have been featured to, so it does feel good to kinda... be next to them. :)

So, I wanted to try my new lenses and I went to this place close to my house that always seemed really beautiful to me. The sunset light shines through the branches beautifully. I didn't quite capture it the way I wanted... still. I wanted to share.

Oh... plus, I got a hives breakout on my legs from going there. The bugs ate me up alive, it seems. Not good..

So, I went to visit a friend of mine the other day and since she now has a baby ferret - princess Dandara ehehe - I got to take some pictures of her. :) Ferrets are really energetic, so it's really hard to actually get a focused picture of them.
